Feeling Good!
"Come on Feel" is the title of The Lemonheads cd I listened to, two and a half times on my way home from the cottage tonight. It's probably the cd I have listened to more than any other over the last decade or however long it has been since I got it.
I picked up the cd a few days after I heard track twelve at a house party I was at a bunch of years ago.Its a quirky little tune and still one of my favorites hardly ever skip over a song on this cd when I play it which is probably why I so often feel compelled to listen to it when I finally grow tired of listening to whatever else I have been listening to at the time I start thinking...." where the hell is Come on Feel,I hope it's in the car here somewhere." Track fourteen might be my favorite song on the disc but that implies that I like it way more than most of the other songs and that's not really true.
It was nice to be able to hang out up north for an extra day and extend my weekend a little longer.I would have got home a little earlier today except that my Mom kicked my ass in Gin this weekend which is the card game we started playing at the beginning of the summer. We have been keeping track of wins and loses all summer long and after this weekend, I fell way behind so I needed to play a ton more games today to try and catch up.I've got until we eat all the leftovers from Thanksgiving to catch up because the week after we all get together for Thanksgiving,my folks are leaving for Florida for the winter. It's going to be tough because I'm still pretty far behind in games but ya never know.
After an entire summer of playing Gin,the winner gets their name on a trophy so it's kind of a big deal (lol)!!!!
I guess I had better start tossing some of these dirty cloths into the washing machine and after that I'll continue looking at some of the emails you guys have sent me.There doesn't seem to be as many to look at as I thought there might be but Tuesday morning I'll pick a couple out and post them here in my blog with hopes that it will inspire more of you to email me with your thoughts on this weekends show, the new series I am currently developing and anything else that might be on your minds.
Later guys,
JR
