LONG TIME NO BLOG

Hey guys,
I'm actually making a post on my blog.Wow! It feeling like it's been ages since I sat here punching away at the keys in an effort to keep everyone up to speed on this crazy ass life of mine.

Have you guys missed me?

I often talk about my adventure into Tv land but over the last month or so I stumbled into a place I have never been before.It's the secret place where all the network exec's and their assistants hang out plotting the future of television.It's an amazingly cool place where guys like me never have to pay for anything ever again. Or at least until you are asked to leave.The only catch is that you can't say anything about this place to anyone. Development deals are just whispers in the dark and budgets for pilots are bigger than what I spend on producing an entire season. After all these years of hanging out in Tv land,I finally found a key to the golden door in the forest.It sucks that I still can't tell you guys anything about what I have been working on or doing for the last month but for those of you who wish I would go back to doing the kind of stuff I use to do on the show a few years ago,just know that Im on my way back to where I came from.

On Saturday I'm back to working on another short film for the new series that is on the air right now.I will be making eight new episodes that will feature eight more short fims. Two of them have been shot and are in the can already and after next weekend we will have a total of four of them shot. It's going to be a busy few months for me with everything going on right now but I promise to start updating my blog again with a little more regularity.

Hey guys,
I thought I should at least say a quick hello to all of you and reassure everyone that I haven't fallen into some hole somewhere and will never be heard from again.

I feel bad that I haven't been updating my blog too much lately and I hope I'm not disappointing you guys to much but it's been crazy around here over the last month or so. In a couple of minutes Im packing up some stuff and am going to head to the cottage for the night. I really need to take a break for a day and the best way to do that is to go up north. I imagine that all the ice on the lake will be gone by now so maybe I'll hop in my canoe and go for a little paddle.It's been a while since I've been up there. I better get rolling.

Hi guys,
Lots to fill you in on and no time to do it!

Say hi to me if you see me in Ottawa Tuesday. I fly there first thing in the morning for a series of meetings and will be home to sleep in my own bed later Tuesday night. If I end up getting some desperately needed sleep that I haven't been getting lately, I will touch base with you all sometime on Wednesday so I can catch everyone up on everything that has been going on lately.

Remember how I said a few weeks ago that things were about to get interesting....well what I meant was that things are about to get REEeally interesting....

With everything happening around here these days,I am keeping pretty busy to say the least. All new episodes of my new series are in production and will be on the air this may. There is lots to do around here now so I am actually considering hiring a couple more people part time and maybe even having a couple more interns join us for the spring and summer.

FRANK & DIGS

MY SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO!

Driving up north to the cottage on Saturday night was that much better with my new SIRIUS radio in my car.I was able to listen to the basketball game clear as a bell the entire way on ESPN radio which was amazing.

The drive home on Sunday night gave me a couple more hours to check out all the other stations I can now start listening to and this morning I was able to listen to Howard Stern live on the radio again.

Ever since Howard went to Sirius,Shane P has been emailing me Stern's morning radio show which is pretty friggin cool of him.Thanks again Shane,you are the best! Well actually, Shane is second best now that Kent at Keiths Stereo in Burlington has hooked me up so large with this new SIRIUS radio system. Now Kent is the best! Second best is still right up there though. I use to get Shane's emails,burn the radio shows to a cd and then listen to them in my car. For some reason I never really listen to the radio that much at home but I love listening to it in the car.

Sometimes I had a little trouble burning the shows to a cd but at least I was able to get my Howard Stern fix now and again. Listening to his show live again this morning was cool. I have Kent at Keiths Stereo to thank for this.There is something about knowing it is live that makes it all seem more interesting somehow.

I should also mention that Kent didn't just set me up with a SIRIUS satellite radio last Friday,he installed the S50 which has fifty hours of recording time and tons of other cool features that I have yet to figure out.The radio is nice and small and I can record Sterns show in the morning and take it with me to listen to while I walk Emma if I want to.It's a really sweet set up.

More about The Howard Stern Show and my new S50 SIRIUS Satellite radio later on,right now I have to go shoot some footage of the new co-op student Doug who will be introducing to you all as soon as I shoot this footage and post it here in my blog. One of Doug's jobs will require him to be the one shooting footage around here so that I can post it in my blog and not have to spend forever in front of this keyboard each week in an effort to stay in touch withyou guys.

I think Doug has started sweeping the floors now.I should go shoot this footage and introduce you guys to him.

FINAL FOUR & MORE!

Vic and I ended up going out last night for a nice steak dinner,a few drinks and I had a fun but quite night.

This morning I woke up and went to the cottage show to look at some boats and docking systems.

The new SIRIUS system in my car is awesome.I'm actually going to head up to the cottage right now for the night which will give me a few hours to check out all the new stations and features this radio has. The satellite Tv is still hooked up at the cottage so I'll be able to watch a little basketball and hockey tonight while looking out over the frozen lake. I'm looking forward to getting up there.
