Being a part of the show tonight!

Not a ton of time to update my blog here guys which doesn't come as that much of a suprise to most of you but the reason I'm blogging here right now is to invite all of you in the Hamilton area to a live taping tonight!

Looks like I have managed to get us back into the Staircase Theatre again after getting kicked out a while back. This is all kind of last minute but it would be cool to have some people at the taping tonight. The theatre has studio seating and it will be way more fun to shoot the show in front of a live audience so if you are interested, head down to 27 Dundurn street north in Hamilton tonight around 8:30pm!

Hope to see some of you guys there tonight!

Joel Plaskett!

Ya ya I know guys, I haven't been blogging enough lately but the good news is that ratings for the show have been awesome over the last few weeks and if you have noticed some Xbox commercials airing these past couple weeks, thats why! Good ratings always seem to get potential sponsors on board and more advertising dollars allows me to hire more full time staff to work on the show with me which is awesome.

The latest volunteer to be hired on full time to work on the show is "Solid" Steve! Having more people working on the show with me full time not only means more work getting done on the show and website each week but it also means that you guys can expect more crew blogs to get posted.

Steve told me that he posted one yesterday afternoon so maybe check it out, especially if you like the band Ill Scarlet who recently performed on the show. Steve said that he posted video of the band performing two songs, both of which are getting lots of radio play these days.

Tonight on the show, Joel Plaskett performs a couple songs so if you are a Joel Plaskett fan like I am then make sure to tune in and keep checking the crew blog. Steve says he has a bunch more video to post over the next couple days.

Later guys, have a good weekend!

The Crew Blog!

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I've been super busy bla bla bla bla.....but anyways, I made a huge leap forward recently when I landed my first major sponsor for the show. Getting Molson on board not only has proven to me that this little experiment in latenight is working but increasing ratings have now got the attention of major corporate sponsors like Molson which translates into sponsorship dollars which means the show now has a bit of a budget for 2007. I actually have a few bucks now to hire a couple of the volunteers and start building an actual crew to work on the show with me full time which is awesome.

So the other day I had an idea that might make up for my tardiness here in blogland! Why not create a crew blog here on the site so that even if I haven't posted anything in a few days, there will still be stuff to check out on the site each day.

So now there's a separate CREW BLOG up and running that the crew of Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talk Show use to blog about working on the show which might actually be interesting.

Check it out here

Later guys.

Live on the radio!

Hey Guys. We had a few more bugs to work out with my blog and the new site that we are still trying to get on line but I can finally blog again so here I am....

I'll make this a quick one because I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be going on fm96 around 5:00pm tonight to talk with Noel down there in London Town! It's a phone in interview which isn't as much fun as being in the studio doing this stuff but it might still be worth listening to in case I get stupid in the head or something in the middle of the interview.

Go to http://www.fm96.com/ if you don't get fm96 on your radio where you live! If you don't catch this afternoons radio interview, make sure to watch Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow tonight on the tube. Tonights episode is a repeat and re-cut episode that should bring some of you guys up to speed with the show in case it kinda slipped by you somehow in 2006!

Check the homepage for the when, where and scheduling details ect... and if you are looking for even more leftovers and repeats, last Wednesday nights episode of "Be Real" is airing again tonight on TvTropolis at 11:00pm so check that out as well if you want to.

And so 2007 begins......

Taking a break for a few minutes, half way into a six hour marathon of "The Wire" which is another cool HBO series you guys should all check out if you haven't yet. I'm gunna make some nocho's, watch a little football, maybe go for a short walk to get some fresh air because it looks sunny outside right now and then get back to watching three more hours of television and the last three episodes of "The Wire".

This might just be the last day I have off for a while in 2007. On Tusday I have to dive back into shooting and editting stuff for Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow which will pretty much consume me in 2007 until the middle of March when I will need to take two weeks off to finish writing the script for a feature length film that has been in development for a while now.A producer friend of mine thinks he will be able to find funding for the project in 2007 but I have to have a second draft of the script to him by the end of March and this dude is the real deal. He is a respected producer in the industry and super good at what he does so I can't screw any of this up which means I probably need to start planning out my year and its looking like it's going to be a busy one.

After a couple weeks away from Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow in March, I will get back to it for another couple months and then roll right into the second season of "In the Can with JR DIGS" which already has a couple major sponsors on board and excited to see me get this series back on the air again for another summer.Being able to get a second season of this series I created last summer on the air again will allow me to do things way better this time around. For a guy like me who has always had to make the best of being under the gun and perpetually disorganized and scrambling, preparing now for a series that doesn't even go on the air until the summer is incredible!

After that series raps up at the end of August, the first few weeks of September will be dedicated to a massive event which will be tied into and conclude the series with a crazy ass film festival which will then be turned into three half hour episodes airing in September.

Then its back to Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow for the last few months of 2007 which will rap up this next year of my life! Now keep in mind that there are a few other projects and opportunities that are currently in the works but not worth mentioning quite yet in case they fall through or I'm not able to find the time to be available to make them happen.Ya right!

Small stuff that doesn't take a lot of time will be easier to find the time for but there is some big stuff still in the works and up in the air these days as well like "Be ReaL" for example. With a little luck, the producers of "Be Real" will get a big fat budget again for a second season which would be cool and there is actually another pretty big project in the works right now as well but realistically, its starting to look like there will be no way to do everything in 2007 so for today I'm just going to go make those nocho's and enjoy the only day off I might actually get in 2007!

What are you guys doing this year^
