Another new Andrew !!!!!!!

Hey guys, it was great to meet those of you who came out to the shoot on Tuesday at the Staircase Theatre. I look forward to meeting more of you in the weeks to come as we continue shooting episodes of Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talk Show!I met another a new Andrew on Tuesday night as well. He's a co-op student that started this past week but i hadn't met him until Tuesday night at the shoot. He seems like a good kid and I'm sure the guys will find him lots of stuff to do each day for the three hours he is required to be at the office as part of his work term.

I just checked out theCrew Blogand it sounds like Steve seems to think Andrew "The co-op student" has been doing some incredibly important work on the show this past week. Now I'm even curious about what he has been doing this past week.

I'll keep you guys posted!

We need a live audience tonight....

If you know who Jeff McEnery is and ever thought about wanting to see him do some stand up and make you laugh but didn't want to have to pay to get into a comedy club, come down to the Staircase Theatre on Dundurn Street tonight at 8:30!

We are taping a segment with Jeff tonight for the show. All the regulars will be there so I'm sure it will end up being rediculously funny!

Hope to see some of you there.

"IN THE CAN with JR DIGS (Season TWO)

Yo guys,Yo, yo guys!
If any of you are interested or know someone who is an aspiring film maker who might want to be chosen to be featured this summer Nationally on network television in Season Two of this cool litle series we are producing again this summer, make sure to email me or better yet, just get a previously shot short film on line so I can check it out.

It doesn't matter how low budget or bad you might think your film is. Hell Chris Pozzebon got kicked out of his film school because of a film he made which personally I found to be hilarious. Pozz was one of the film makers featured in Season One last summer.....

In The Can and on the air tonight...

Hey guys, check out the crew blog to get the lowdown on what guest and music acts Scott has booked on the show over the next few weeks.

We actually got screwed this week by that huge snow storm we got here on Tuesday night. We couldn't get into the Staircase Theatre Tuesday to shoot this weeks show so I had to deliver a show that we had previously shot but never aired. It ended up being cut together as more of a promo for "In The Can" so hopefully it will inspire lots of you unknown and aspiring film makers to contact us about being apart of Season Two that will air this summer on CH and Global.

YouTube! Good idea? Bad idea?

As promised,we have been updating and working on a new look for the site this week. Although this is all mostly experimental and probably going to be totally hit and miss with regards to what style and look the site should have, I just wanted to get something on line that would be new to look at when you guys came to the site here this week! I'm curious to start getting feedback from all of you.

Something else we did earlier this week that some of you seem to have noticed, is that I finally caved and put a video on YouTube. I tend to avoid doing stuff when I don't completely understand why I should be doing it. I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing but with regards to putting video on YouTube, I guess I always figured that if people wanted to see video clips from Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow, they would simply go to www.jrdigs.com, not YouTube! I have a website, so why post stuff on YouTube?

Well obviously I have finally been convinced that YouTube is a good way to maybe promote the show and let people share video clips which maybe then might make more people aware of what we are doing on Saturday nights these days in latenight or here on the site for example.

Hopefully you guys will all go check out "Todd's Amazing stories" which is the clip we put on YouTube earlier this week and then make sure to tell all your friends about it or whatever it is that people do in you tube land! If it means that more people end up becoming aware of the show and the website then I guess it's a good idea to keep posting stuff on YouTube. Or is it?

See it and share it on YouTube Right here!

Let me know what you guys think!

A brand new look...

Big changes are about to happen this week here on the site that should make things way more interesting around here so stay tuned!

The Police are performing at the Grammys tonight. I use to love the Police so I'll be tuning in to check it out for sure tonight.

Speaking of the Grammys and music acts that I like, what did you guys think about "Splash and Boots" who performed last night on the show?

Tonight on the tube...

Those of you who like to "parrtayyy" occasionally on a Saturday night, if you "knowwww" what I mean, well you just might find tonights music act more awesome and hilarious than you could possibly imagine.

Those of you who just enjoy a good old fashion sing along might also want to tune in to Another Crappy Canadian Latenight Talkshow tonight as well.

Keep the emails coming and have a great weekend everyone.

To all you Joel Plaskett fans!

Cool, looks like the boys are starting to make a few post in the crew blog which is great. I've been so brutal at updating my blog lately that it's good to know that my blog isn't the only reason for you guys to slide by the site here to check things out.

Lots and lots of times when we are out shooting, we shoot footage that never gets aired on the show and ends up being forgotten about. A lot of times the reason the footage doesn't get aired is because it maybe wasn't all the funny or interesting but frig, this is the internet. Why not put anything and everything we shoot here on the site for you guys to check out, right?

Hopefully the boys will continue getting stuff on line for everyone to look at and for those of you who missed the show featuring Joel Plaskett and have been emailing me asking me to post the performance here on the site, I'm on it! Check back next week sometime, I should have it on line by then.

Joel Plaskett kicks ass!

Thanks Elizabeth!

Hey guys, what up? Glad to hear that you guys like the direction the show is heading in these days. Everyone seems to think that getting into an actual studio to shoot the show each week in front of a live audience is a huge leap forward and it's official. Todd is the best! He is awesome and everyone likes him as much as I do. It's so great hearing from you guys and getting your feedback about the show. I guess deep down under the jadded "I don't give a crap anymore" facade I like to hide behind sometimes because it's just easier than worrying too much about what people think all the time, I still care a ton about what people think. It sucks when people tell you that you suck and that they pretty much hate your guts, but it's awesome and inspiring when people send positive emails to me like this one that Elizabeth sent me......

alright man i dont even know how to start this email but i guess i'll start with the obvious.. JR digs is THEE only show on tv worth watching. honestly. i saw the show for the first time two years ago maybe? i just rediscovered it a couple of saturdays ago and i now find myself leaving parties early or blowing off plans to come home and watch this. it's kinda sad but whatevvs. that being said, TODDS AMAZING STORIES was AWESOME tonight, like.. unreal. you MUST keep using him in the show, he is ... just great, i enjoy him muchly. i actually called my friend at 12:15 laughing too hard to talk to try to tell her to turn on global.. keep using todd. PLEASE. oh and joel plaskett last week was fantastic, really.

alright well thats enough for today, thank you for bringing us the most uncrappy tv show in the whole entire universe.

your biggest fan,
-elizabeth

Todd's Amazing Stories!

Hey guys,I haven't checked yet but I asked Steve and Aaron to make sure they continue updating the crew blog as much as possible these days so that we keep giving you guys a reason to check out the site every few days.

Just because its just Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talkshow we are putting together each week, it doesn't mean that the site has to be half crappy as well. With new volunteers coming on board pretty much every week now along with an ever growing cast of characters that I seem to be meeting on the steet and then bringing on the show, there are lots of back stories and tons of interesting footage that we could be putting on line here that I think you guys would be interested in.

Tonight on the show for example, you guys will see a new segment featuring Todd who I recently met on the street, I got him to do interviews at a Skateboard competition and then brought him on the show. Todd is the most sincere, most awesome guy I have ever brought on the show. No offence to Kayvon, Andrew The Psycho Fan or Hurricane Andy but bringing Todd on the show again tonight for a second time was a really good idea. Expect to be seeing lots more of Todd in the weeks to come and make sure to email me after tonights episode and let me know what you guys think of him.

Have a great weekend everbody.
