Back from the cottage&off to the Police concert..

So I spent the weekend at the cottage and did a whole lot of nothing and ended up taking most of today off as well... I think I may have almost forgotten how much I totally enjoy doing absolutly nothing after so many years of grinding it out day after day. Now I don't have a whole lot of time to get all deep and meaningful/philosophical and shit all of a sudden so I'm going to stop right here because I ended up getting tickets to see the Police in concert tonight. If I somehow find myself backstage, I'll make sure to get a picture taken with Sting or Stewart Copeland, AKA Clark Kent for you Police fans.

My sister saw the show last night, and so did Aaron. They both said it was awesome. I'm looking forward to it!

I'll touch base later this week sometime, if not tomorrow, to tell you guys all about the concert.

Screw this... I'm heading up north...

I just talked to my Mom on the phone, and apparently there is a bunch of stuff going on this weekend up north. I love going up to our family cottage, there's always lots to do, or more like there's lots of nothing to do, which is maybe why I like it so much.

Around here it seems like I can never get my mind off all the shit I should be doing in the effort to propel this lame-ass career of mine. I truly enjoy working on the show, don't get me wrong, but it's just that it's all I seem to do anymore. I can't stop myself, there's so much that needs to get done, and if I don't do it, who's going to? My massive staff, yeah right... Steve and Aaron are good guys and I'd be screwed without them, but it's not like I have a huge team of people around here. Besides that, I guess I'm kind of wonky in the head and need to have a hand in just about everything there is that goes on around here on a day-to-day basis.

Anyways, I'm rambling on here, when I should be packing up some stuff in a bag and heading up north. We don't have a shoot planned this weekend, so I'm going to take advantage of a couple of days off and spend it in Muskoka with friends.

Have a great weekend, guys, and absolutely watch the show on Saturday night, if you're near a TV at all. If you guys don't like the next couple of episodes of In the Can, I'll be shocked. Seriously, watch the show Saturday night and tell me what you thought of it. I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys... probably on Facebook, 'cause that's how I hear from most of you guys now, which is very cool.

It'll take me at least two hours to get to the cottage from here, so I gotta get going. I wanted to post some video that I shot today, but I don't have time. Since I'm about to hop in the car and drive up north, how about I post some video here for you guys to check out that I shot in the Spring when I drove my Mom up north to the cottage.

30 Hours and counting....

Aaron and I have litterally been planted here for 30 of the last 40 hours editting footage for the show. The kicker is that Aaron has been totally sick and caughing like crazy for the last two days but I need him to be here in front of the computor working on this stuff with me or I can't get the show completely finished!

He's been a total trooper and we ate two boxes of popsicles so far. Aside from Aaron hangin in there with me so we can get this episode done and delivered before midnight, I ended up having to bail on plans to head down to Port Dover for the big Friday the 13th biker day to shoot some footage. I use to have a cool little Surf/skate shop in Port Dover right by the beach and it's been years since I have been down there and was kind of looking forward to shooting some footage there again.

I was also suppose to be up north at the cottage by around 10:00pm tonight for a big dock party I was invited to. Good thing I really like working on my show again these days because I swear, I have no life. All I ever really have time for anymore is working on the show. Every day, every night, it never really ends!

That being said, I have to get back to rapping things up here tonight and maybe thinking about heading out for a quick beer or something. Aparently it's Friday night!

If I don't get around to blogging again this weekend, make sure to check out the show on Saturday night if you are near a Tv and let me know if you liked it or not! It's kind of an experimental type episode and I'm curious to hear what you guys think.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I Gotta Green Screen And a Big Dream....

For all of you guys who have email me over these last few years or more recently maybe have send me messages or made post on my wall on facebook about how you wish sometimes that I would go back to doin more streeters on the show again like I use to....well tune into the show on Saturday night! I think you guys might find this weekends episode interesting!

I think I finnaly have found a way to make streeters interesting and worth doing again. I have always loved watching some of the super cheese movies that were made in the 60's and I recently got my hands on a few of them that are hilarious.

There is no way I would think anyone would want to watch on television, one of these full legth films but if I cut it down and created a cool little short it would be hilarious I figured. Then to put a new spin on things I could slide into some town for the day with my crew and my new green screen and recast some new people into the movie. People we randomly meet on the streets!

It gives me a chance to do a bunch of streeters again but this time have a purpose and a reason to do them. I've always thought that people you meet on the street are awesome and sometimes hilarious so why not put them in my little movie!

So if you like streeters like we use to do all the time, you might just like this weekends episode. Make sure to check it out and have a great weekend everyone.
