Lookin for a look....

Ok so maybe this last haircut I got was possible the worse haircut I have had in years or maybe it's just that it was simply a bad haircut and I got it at the worse possible time. Just days before getting pictures taken of me with some of the biggest celeb's in the world. A photographer dude I know just sent me a picture that he had taken of me and Clive Owen at the film festival and if I didn't look like such a duffus with a shit haircut, the pic would probably be kind of cool!

I gotta find a new place to go get my haircut. While I'm at it maybe I should think about sportin an entirely new look as well.

Any thoughts?

DDD...DIGS Demolition Derby

Im on my way to the Ancaster Fair for the big demolition derby. Cam Brookhouse, a long time fan of the show contacted me on facebook a while ago and asked me if I might be interested in being involved in some way with the car he was building to demolish tonight at the derby!

It sounded like a cool idea so of course I said I wanted to get in on the action. I just posted some video on my facebook page of some stuff we shot a couple of nights ago getting the car ready for tonight. Cam and his team did an amazing job getting the car ready for tonight, I just did a little painting!!!!

The Red Carpet footage you don't see....

Hi guys, I've been posting some video this week on facebook from my ten days at Tiff. A little bit of the red carpet footage we shot! I was thinking about what footage I wanted to post again on line tonight when it occurred to me. I've got lots of pretty cool and interesting stuff that I want to let you guys see but most of it I also want to save for the latenight show. I could post more video of some of the lesser known celeb's I met and talked with but it's Friday night!!!! I gotta at least come up with something you guys might actually want to see on line here. That's when I came accross the footage of the interview I didn't do with Ethan Hawk!

This is for sure the kind of stuff that might be more interesting to see on line than on the show later this fall so I decided that's what I would post here tonight on my facebook page.

I still can't figure out how to get video posted here in my blog so to see it you will have to go to my facebook page.

Smash up derby!!!!!

I think maybe I need someone to help me out around here with my website. Aside from redesigning a new one which is something I wold love to do one of these days, I can't seem to figure out how to post video here in my blog for those of you to check out who aren't into the facebook thing.

Besides that, I would simply love to post way more video on the site here but it always seems like its going to take me way more time than I ever have. It would be awesome if I just had a co-op student or intern who made sure every day that they posted video, kept the site updated and only ever really had to do that every day.

That being said, I wanted to post some more Tiff red carpet footage for you guys to check out but I gotta get going so I will have to do it later if I have time. I'm heading out with a buddy of mine who is in town from Calgary for a couple of days. Oh and I also wanted t tell you guys about the smash up derby I'm going in on Saturday.

Cam Brookhouse who has been watching the show for years now contacted me on facebook to ask me if I wanted him to fix up car for me to drive in a smash up derby. I went to his garage last night to check it out and it looks awesome. I can't wait until we shoot footage of all this on Saturday. It's going to be awesome!

I have some video of us from last night in the garage as well that I could post here on the site if I didn't have to get going right now but I do so I'll ge to that later as well.

Red Carpet interviews at TIFF 2007

Hey Guys, I just posted some new video on my facebook page. It's an interview with the star of one of my favorite new HBO series. More than likely I will be saving the stuff we shot with people like George Clooney and Sean Penn for my late night show that goes back on the air this fall, so expect me to post anything and everything else that won't be aired on TV on my Facebook page.

I hope everyone that checks out my blog regularly here at jrdigs.com is also a friend of mine on facebook because that's where I've been posting all of my videos lately.

The 2007,Toronto International Film Festival...

What an amzing ten days I had at Tiff! I can't wait for you guys to see some of the footage I shot. It was very cool how laid back and easy going most of these massive A List celeb's were considering my antic's and incredibly stupid questions!

Sure it looks a like Colin Farrell is about to pop me in the head here in this picture but I assure you he couldn't possible have been any more fun to goof off with on the red carpet!

I did have a couple sketchy kinda moments but I'll have to get into that later this week sometime!

Lots to catch you guys up on...

I have had an amazing and completely unexpected couple weeks to say the least. I still can't explain how surprised and shocked I was to hear the news about my nomination for a Gemini award for "Best Host in a lifestyle series" a couple weeks ago but before that really had time to sink in, I found myself diving head first into Tiff with more access to more A list celeb's than I ever could have possible imagined.

Over the coarse of this week, I plan on posting some video that you guys might be amused by and I'll be blogging a bit about the 10 days I spent at Tiff as well!The festival ended on Saturday night and on Sunday I split to go up north for a couple days to relax and just wind down some. I needed it!

Sunday night after dinner at the cottage I went for a quick paddle on the lake then chilled out and watched BIg Brother with my Mom because we both have been hoping Dick somehow win's it all. After that we watched the Emmy awards as I explained to my folks that here in Canada we also have awards that are given out to people in the television industry. They are called the Gemini awards which is what I have been nominated for this year. Mom seems way more impressed by being featured on entertainment tonight I think! Oh well, they did have pumpkin pie out for dessert last night which was great with the fresh whip cream on top!

I woke up this morning after the first good night sleep I have had in a few weeks and by the time I hade poured my second cup of coffee and was heading out to the muskoka chair on the dock to drink it, I was already thinking about all the stuff I need to be working on this week to kinda keep the ball rolling. No point in just hangin out at the cottage if I wasn't even going to be able to enjoy doing nothin for a few days so I ended up packing up my bag and came back to the city to keep working on stuff.

So that's where I am now, and that's what I will be doing for the rest of the night here it looks like. Like I said, I will be blogging all week so keep checking in and I'll be sure to start responding to those of you who have been emailing and sending me messages on facebook.

Hangin out with Entertainment Tonight....

It was very cool to have Entertainment tonight feature me on their show Thursday night. Sounds like alot of you watched the segment they aired but for those of you who missed it and have been sending messages to me on facebook, asking if I can maybe get it posted here on my blog somehow, good news! Just this morning I posted it on my facebook page.

It's been a crazy week and with only two days left of the Festival, I'm starting to really look forward to sliding up north to the cottage to recharge and totally kick back!

For sure as soon as I am back from the cottage next week, I will start blogging and posting video of my adventures at Tiff! I have some hilarious and very interesting stuff to show you guys. The kind of footage you won't see on ET that's for sure!

Fun times with Sean Penn.....(lol)

If it looks in this picture like Sean Penn is about to rip my head off, just imagine what it felt like to be me and standing two feet in front of Sean Penn feeling like he was about to rip my head off!

Yes it's been a busy week so far in Toronto at the film festival! The lack of sleep is catching up to me a bit I think but there are only three days left so now is not the time to run out of steam!

Can't wait to have the time to blog about everything and catch you guys up on stuff!

E!Network Party tonight.....

Just woke up a little while ago cause I got home at like 4:30am!! Not sure if I can roll in every night this week in the wee hours like I did last night and still be up the next day pumped and ready to go but last night was the first night of the Film Festival so I guess I just kinda got caught up in the hype of it all.

I ended up spending a few minutes with Jodie Foster on the red carpet last night though. Shot some interesting footage I guess but I have no idea how to work it into my show in any way. It's not like I'm some entertainment tonight reporter or something! I'm just a goofball dude on latenight Tv! The kind of access I'm now being permitted to ahve to these celeb's is somewhat shocking and even a bit confusing.

Hangin for a bit with Terence Howard was awesome, I do have to admit that. He's an amazingly cool actor and as it turns out, just as interesting and awesome as I might have hoped he would be in real life.

Shhoting lots of footage of everything for the talkshow that will be back on the air later this fall guys. No time really to get any of it on line today but I'll do my best to make a few minutes and get some footage on line sometime over the next few day for sure!

Big night tonight because the big E! Network launch party is happening and with the Gemini nomination from last week, I actually get invited to this kind of stuff now. It's wierd!

Mini Me & Me!

Yep, The Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF for short is about to kick into gear and I'm lucky Verne Troyer was only in second gear earlier this evening when he almost ran into me. Ok well he didn't almost run me over but I did meet him and we chatted briefly about maybe even shooting something on Friday for my latenight talkshow that goes back on the air later this fall on Global and the E!Network.

One of the impacts this Gemini nomination for "Best Host" is having on me these days is it seems like maybe I have more crediblity with people all of a sudden. More so with people's "people" but those are the ones who set up all the interviews so if I am lucky, this year at Tiff I will get some really cool moments caught on tape with some interesting celebrities.

One thing that hasn't changed at all yet since the news last week is the lack of budget I still have to deal and work with when it comes to shooting stuff ect. for my little latenight experiment that I plan on putting back on the air this fall like I mentioned above. I for sure have enough money coming in these days from sponsors to keep things rolling along and to keep a couple full time guys hired to help me shoot and edit stuff ect. but I definately could still use more volunteers to help out with stuff.

It would be great to have a couple more people to do anything from holding another camera to general PA kinda work while we are shooting at TiFF over this next week. I absolutey need someone to help me with publicity one of these days and if any of you guys are into web design, I think the site might need another new look as well. Lots to do and no money to do it with! Wa wa wa... I guess I could start digging into my pockets again and go back into debt but I went way down that road once before and it really wasn't all that much fun so screw that idea!

Hopefully I'll find some new volunteers this fall and have a great couple weeks shooting footage at Tiff. I actually have real press credentials this year for the first time ever so that will make things a little easier for sure.
