Kayvon + Bunny = Happy - By Aaron
Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't posted any new vids lately, but I've been gathering a slew of clips to show you for the coming days and weeks. To start off, a little while back Kayvon had an encounter with a big bunny. Not going to really talk about it since it's pretty self explanatory. Kayvon + Bunny = Happy. Check back soon for Kayvon's Basketball diaries that's mentioned at the end of this clip.
Introducing Andrew the Co-Op student
It's been a crazy getting the show ready this week, but thankfully, we now have a Co-Op student to ease some of the pressure. His name is Andrew. Not Andrew the Psycho Fan. Not Hurricane Andy. Just, uh... Andrew the Co-Op student. We definitely need a nickname for him. He has taken on some important tasks on the production, and I asked him to shoot a little segment with my camera, and edit it, just to tell all you Crew Blog readers about what he's doing to help create Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talk Show. Pretty soon, we'll have him writing his own Crew Blogs, but right now, I'm in the middle of a major update to the top banner of the site, so he's been assigned another very important task that doesn't required him being on the internet. He'll tell you all about it in his Video Blog here:
Out-take from the set of "Don & Corey Were Friends"
If you caught tonight's episode of "Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talk Show" where we aired "Don & Corey Were Friends" from Season 1 of "In the Can with JR Digs," you saw some of the crazy hijinks JR got into playing the character of Dave in the movie. What you didn't see, however, was this great screw-up where JR... well, you'll just have to watch it and see for yourself!
Upcoming Guests...
Hey Guys! Just wanted to mention the latest in what's going on here at the show in terms of upcoming guests. I'm pretty excited actually... This week we got Jeff McEnery and Morgan Waters coming in. I'm sure most of you know Morgan Waters from his own CBC show entitled: 'The Morgan Waters Show' and now can be seen in pretty much every episode of Much Music's 'Screwed Over' show. He's a crazy cat and I've got this funny feeling something ridiculous in the theatre is going to go down when him and JR get together. (Like their going to burn the theatre down or something) I doubt many of you have heard of Jeff McEnery - so for those of you who are unaware, Jeff is the funniest person you know. Don't believe me? All I'm going to say is stay tuned and catch the episode...then you'll believe me. We got some great musical acts coming on, as well. I don't want to give too much away but our next musical act is coming in with a fuckin' smoke machine!! haha. I hope Todd will be able to handle breathing in all the fumes! Also, if you're in a cool, underground band that want to appear on the show...send me an email at Scott@Jrdigs.com and let me know. I'd love to hear from you. Take it easy and keep watching!
"Experiments of the Mind" Deleted Scenes
Hey everyone, You maybe just watched tonight this weeks show with musical guests Splash N' Boots. It turned out in my opinion to be such a good episode! Splash N' Boots are definitely an act we need to have back on the show. I'll have some behind the scenes stuff and cut segments from that episode for you soon this week, but in the mean time as I had promised a number of days ago, here are the scenes that were cut from the "Experiments of the mind" segment we had on the show last week with paranormal guests Scott and Sam. Take a look. I'm off to crash guys. I'll catch ya later.
Finally! I'm on the Crew Blog
Hey Guys, I guess I should officially introduce myself here on the crew blog. I’m Scott the “show booker” and third volunteer to come on board to help JR make the show. The first two volunteers were Steve and Aaron and both those guys have been posting here on the crew blog and they are also both getting paid now to work on the show. Guess that makes me the only volunteer to start posting here in the crew blog but I’ve been working so much on the show lately that I for sure feel like one of the crew and I have a small feeling I’ll be getting paid soon enough (hint hint). I book the guests and musical acts for the show plus lately I’ve started writing ‘Todd’s Amazing Stories’ and a hilarious new segment airing this week called ‘Sex Talk with Andrew’. Hope you guys are enjoying the show as much as I am. I have to admit it’s pretty surreal to be in the same room as our regulars such as Todd, Andrew the Psycho Fan and Kayvon because I’ve turned into such a fan of them myself. I’m pretty proud with what our little crew has achieved so far considering we don’t have a budget. If you’ve been watching Another Crappy Canadian Late Night Talk Show from the start you’d probably agree with me. JR’s definitely got some gold on his hands with this show and after everything he has done to get to where he is now, he absolutely deserves it! Speaking of gold, make sure to check out this Saturday’s episode, as our musical guest Splash n’ Boots stop by. This children’s entertainment duo rock the Staircase Theatre performing children songs as we watch Hurricane Andy in a rabbit costume dry hump Kayvon on the couch! For all you stoners out there…guaranteed this is the best show yet! I’ve never seen anything like this before! Now that JR has giving me the green light to start posting here on the crew blog…expect more from me soon.
Looking for Andrew The Psycho Fan lost segment
Ok I got back to the studio late last night so I didn't get a chance to post anything. I should have just crashed here. Anyways before I show you guys the "Experiments of the mind" stuff, I'd thought i would show you this first. It's been sitting on the back burner for about a month now so Steve had just reminded me that I should post it before it's totally lost. A little while ago we had a segment with Andrew the Psycho Fan at the International Rock Paper Scissors Tournament down at the distillery district in Toronto. Now I wasn't there for the taping, but from what Steve and Scott told me it was quite the shoot. Aside from the fact that Steve got beer dumped all over his camera, I guess Andrew really freaked out a number of the "athletes" to the point where some thought that he was actually going to kill JR and anyone within a 10 foot radius. Needless to say that didn't happen (although it would have made for great television) and Andrew got fed up after he lost in the second round and disappeared for an hour or so. They couldn't find him anywhere. After searching for a bit, JR stumbled across this girl who he thought would be funny if he sent her out looking for Andrew. Not knowing what Andrew looked like, proved a little bit of a challenge for her...although it's probably best she didn't know what he looks like. She did an awsome job and I think it turned out pretty funny. Anyways, once again due to time constraints this bit had to be cut out of the episode, but FEAR NOT I present it to you in Glorious Web Compression! Enjoy!
"Experiments of the Mind"
Hey everyone, Aaron here. I haven't posted in a while, and JR's been warning me how far behind one can get with making new blogs. He's right. I get caught up in editing the show each week, i don't end up blogging. Rest assured, I have plenty of whacked out new clips for you guys to see. Unfortunately I'm sitting here at my mechanics on my laptop right now waiting for a flipping $100 car part to come in so my engine will start. I'm not going to get into what kind of car I drive, but needless to say I have under 100000km on it and this morning the engine just puked all over the freaken place. Anyways I am getting off topic here....what was I talking about? Oh yeah.....videos! What I was saying was since I am here I don't have any videos to post, but I will once I get back to the office. For those who saw the show on Saturday, we had these awesome paranormal experts Scott and Sam who did some pretty funky stuff. Unfortunately we only had enough air time to show a few of their "experiments of the mind" as they so called it, but I have the clips of what got cut out......some pretty weird stuff. Check back soon and I will have some clips posted....that is if I ever get out of here. Good there's WIFI. I may still be here tomorrow.
By request - more Ill Scarlett
JR has been getting so much positive feedback (sent to jr@jrdigs.com) about the Ill Scarlett music videos, that he asked me if there was anything else with them that I could put up on the web. Well, I'm the camera operator, and I remembered shooting some footage of JR chatting with (or perhaps harassing) the band while they were packing up their gear to leave, which he intended to show on the web. Now, Aaron is a great editor, and he delivers a kick-ass show for television each week, but he's not the web designer (that's my other job) so he totally disregarded this great footage! I had to sneak into the archives, find the right tape, and steal it, and digitize it, just so I could bring this to all of you who are reading the crew blog. As you're watching, pay close attention to how JR is losing his voice by the end of the shoot, and don't miss the nice little acknowledgment he gives me near the end, right in the middle of shamelessly plugging one of our fantastic sponsors, So Hip it Hurts! Kinda like I just did, right there. Anyway, enjoy!
